Sinaloa is one of Mexico’s leading agricultural producers while simultaneously developing a growing industrial and logistics economy supported by Pacific coast ports, food processing facilities and export infrastructure.
The state’s economy depends upon reliable electricity for irrigation systems, cold storage, food processing and manufacturing operations. Rising industrial development and agricultural modernization continue to increase electricity consumption while requiring improved system reliability.
Although smaller than the other two developments, the Don Humberto project:

• Improves local renewable generation capacity;
• Supports agricultural and industrial electricity demand;
• Enhances grid resilience through battery storage;
• Diversifies generation resources within northwestern Mexico; and
• Contributes to regional economic development while supporting decarbonization objectives.
